I noticed that 2 springs had broken at 10pm on a weeknight. In a panic, I called around to 4 garage door places to see who could come out asap and who could quote me the fairest price. Neil came out the next morning and was quick to diagnose what needed fixing. He didn't have the part (my fault for giving him the wrong size garage door) but came back the next day and installed quickly. He was professional, communicative (texted me on his way both times) and a joy to converse with. He also knows what the other companies in the area are charging and gives you the fairest price. When I bought my new house, I began considering a whole array of projects to brighten it up from the curb. Before spending a small fortune on siding and new windows, I thought I'd start by replacing our old garage door with something more stylish. Up & Up was the 5th garage door company in the ATX area I'd invited out for a consult, and offered me the best price for the same design. Custom doors do take a while to manufacture and ship, which I was prepared for, but Neil and his team took care of me by keeping me updated and explaining my options to remain within budget while still achieving the right effect. They also installed a brand new torsion bar and track as part of the price of the door, which is much quieter than the one it replaced. I really love pulling up in the driveway to see this door - which makes a great statement, as it's the single largest design element on the front of the house. ~ Reid C

Up & Up is very easy to work with. I needed a new garage, and the Up & Up crew got me on the calendar right away. After a few days, a new garage door and garage system was installed. I called several places to get a quote, and Up & Up offered the best pricing, flexibility in scheduling, and were very prompt with getting back to me. After a couple months of the new install, one of the sensors on the garage door got ruined due to painters, and Up & Up came by to fix the issue without charge. I just had a great experience with Neil from Up and Up. I've had an issue with my garage door not closing all of the way. I gave these guys a call, and Neil was about to come out same day. Great communications prior to the visit, 30 minutes heads up, etc. He identified the problem immediately and it was quick fix, he didn't even charge me. At the same time, we started talking about the wheels and he swapped a few out, also without charge, and showed me how to do the other wheels. I recently moved into a home with missing garage door sensors and no remotes. I called Neil at "The Up and Up Garage Doors" to get sensors installed and connect a remote. It turned out that the door was also completely unsafe. There was a vital screw missing on a roller and the garage door was crooked. One of the rollers (the one NOT missing a screw) was popped out. Neil went above and beyond to get our garage door situation fixed and did so in a timely manner. I appreciated his honesty, commitment to integrity, and reasonable price. Our garage door spring broke on Sunday night and in the aftermath also bent one of the garage door rails. The bent rail kept us from opening the door manually and getting our cars out. I called Up and Up and three hours later our garage door spring was replaced (we have two and both were replaced) and all was functioning again. Neil’s response to my call was fast (he came over the next day). He explained the problems we had with the garage engine we have, said the engine is dying and did everything he could (Lubing, some new wires, and some adjustments) to extend its life and work for us until it actually dies. He refused to charge us and just said to give him a call when the engine dies. He is super friendly and trustworthy. I will definitely use him when it’s time to replace the engine. ~ Michal N

Randomly found this place doing a quick google search. My car was stranded in the garage after the spring broke on my opener. I called around 6:30 and they had someone out within 15 minutes. Neil arrived and he was very friendly and prompt. He also taught me a lot more than I thought I ever needed to know about garage door openers and garage doors in general. The owner Neil is very knowledgeable about his products and made very good recommendations on the garage doors and openers to replace my worn-out equipment. When asked for his opinion by my wife and me, he gave an excellent recommendation for the walnut texture and color. His installers showed good attention to detail, were efficient and friendly. The replacement took about 4.5 hours; they hauled off the old doors, openers, and parts; and left the work area clean. The pictures show before and after - the white doors without the glass panels are the old doors. The frosted glass panels at the top are great - they let light in, but the contents of the garage cannot be seen from the outside. The new doors and Linear brand Model LDC0800 belt-drive openers are very quiet and smooth - the previous doors and openers sounded like someone was breaking into the house when the doors were raised and lowered! This was a significant enhancement to the usability of my garage and appearance of the house. From my experience, I can give a happy and unreserved recommendation for Up & Up Garage Doors. ~ David R

This was a somewhat custom adjustment and Neil did a thorough inspection to make sure it would work as planned and then completed the work very quickly. Really good company. Did a garage door repair for me and then I called them back because the door wasn't closing again. However, the issue was the result of some spider webs blocking the sensor and The Up and Up were really great about the false alarm call out.
